1. Can Spa/Salon Gem be used in French and in English?

   Spa/Salon Gem may be used either in French or English. You may select the language by changing Windows regional settings to English (Canada), English (United States) or French (Canada).

2. Is there a reference guide available?

   The Spa/Salon Gem Help menu grants access to a reference manual and to an interactive help. They answer most of the operational questions.

3. Is support available?

   Spa/Salon Gem may be backed by a support contract. This all depends on the sales contract.

4. Are updates available?

   Updates are available through:
   1) (Internet) In Spa/Salon Gem Help menu, in the Upgrades option.
   2) On JBL Soft's web site, in the Customer Service option of the Support menu
   3) By requesting a CD-version upgrade from JBL Soft (1-800-556-4525).

5. How is Spa/Salon Gem secure?

   Spa/Salon Gem proposes an access code system as well as passwords for each employee. To insure data integrity, choose to limit access to certain functions.

6. What hardware and software does Spa/Salon Gem require?

   For an optimal performance of Spa/Salon Gem, JBL Soft recommends the following device: Pentium IV - Windows XP - Hard Disk of 40 GB - 256 MB RAM - High resolution video card (24 bit).

Installation Questions

1. What is the difference between a main station and a client station?

   When installing Spa/Salon Gem on one computer, choose the main computer because it manages all the data. However, when Spa/Salon Gem is installed on a network (more than one device) the main computer becomes a data depository where the extra computer sends its data.

2. Can Spa/Salon Gem be installed in another directory?

   For maximum performance, it is recommended to use c:/Program Files/Salon Gem.

3. How is Spa/Salon Gem registered?

   When Spa/Salon Gem opens, an authorization window offers a code to send to JBL Soft to register and unlock the application. Call 1-800-556-4525, fax (506) 735-1859 or send it through e-mail at info@jblsoft.com.

4. What is the purpose for an authorization key?

   This key unlocks Spa/Salon Gem according to established settings, in this case a trial version valid for a 15-day period installed on one device.
